Sandy’s Yandere Aftermath

My home area in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, NY, which was spared by Hurricane Sandy.

Just to let everyone know that I’m fine from the effects of Hurricane Sandy. My area (as you can see above) was thankfully spared from power outages, downed trees, loose wires, and heavy flooding. Unfortunately, most of my relatives lwho live in New York haven’t been so lucky. This is one of the most surreal experiences I have ever been through.

Even though I did not a suffer a power outage, no new entries will be up this week.  I want to make sure my relatives will be fine.

Hope my fellow Northeastern U.S. anime/manga brethren are toughing it out. If Japanese folks managed to draw strength from the Tohoku earthquake, we can too. Let’s think of our favorite anime/manga heroes to get through this!

Sandy Doesn’t Want To Get Help

For those who may not know, I live in New York and the lovely Hurricane Sandy has hit my area. There’s a chance that I might have a power outage that could last a while. So, if you don’t see anything up this week, it’s going to be because of lack of electricity.

I don’t live in any low-lying areas thankfully (no flooding), but that doesn’t change the fact that the heavy winds and storm surges are going to play a role.

To anyone else living in the northeastern U.S. area, stay home and stay safe!
