Apparently, this was published in the International Herald Tribune section of the New York Times. REALLY, NOW!? Why the editor approved this cartoon is beyond me. Then again, NYT isn’t exactly what you call the “most respected paper” in the world. Thoughts?

“Operation Tomodachi” Photo
“Operation Friends?” More like the U.S. Army telling Japan “Hey, we still own you in many ways!” judging from the picture. Nevertheless, will relations between the U.S. & Japan become stronger despite the fact that American soldiers have caused trouble in the past?

Apparently, this book is going to portray computer viruses as pretty bishojo girls. Gives me more motivation to do my entry on “moe”. “Kawaii Security” is set to come out on March 14.
More information on “Kawaii Security” can be found here (Japanese). A sample photo can be viewed here.

What the “University of Anime” would look like. Yotsuba owns all. Seriously, she does. Gendo & Onizuka are perfect for their roles. Shinsengumi (from Gintama) as Campus Security made me smile deep inside.

From Oreimo Episode 5. Another motivational picture I made. How would you react if your best friend in the whole world told you that?

(Warning: This photo could be Kintama-inducing to some :P)
Please note that this photo is a response to this “wonderful piece of writing” by the folks at the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Department. The second part is here. Also, EXTREME SARCASM WARNING. Here we go…
“OH HI THERE, GAIZ! LOOK, I’M PEDOBEAR AND I’M READING A COMIC THAT CONTAINS A 14-YEAR OLD GIRL. I LIKE HER VERY MUCH <33333 I DON’T LIKE REAL LITTLE GIRLS THOUGH. FICTIONAL ONES ARE THE BEST. I’M SUPPORTING CARTOON PEDOPHILIA. I LOVE IT WHEN ADULT GIRLS DRESS UP AS LOLIS. ARREST ME!!!!!”
A friend sent me a link to the news about Pedobear being the official mascot for pedophiles. What pedophile would knowingly worship a cartoon bear? Do they even want a mascot? Also, Chris Hansen even knows what it is and he’s not taking it seriously! I even watched a news video on it and the reporter had this look on his face that said “Are you freaking kidding me?”
I do have a problem with the person who posed as Pedobear and gave out candy to kids at San Diego Comic-Con. Why would you actually mess with kids!? Good god, are you that stupid!? Sigh. I know you’re not really a registered sex offender. But, Pedobear is supposed to be a JOKE and you tried to turn that joke into some kinda crazy WARPED REALITY. There are people out there who are still morons who don’t research the Internet.
So, SLO police officers, if you’re so interested in catching cartoon pedophiles, why don’t you arrest Peter Griffin, of Family Guy, for trying to “comfort” Connie DiMico in that one episode (“Stew-Roids”) where he clearly wanted to do stuff to her? Peter said it best, “What are you looking at? It’s a CARTOON!”
To my readers outside of America, what a wonderful country America can be sometimes, eh?
Stay tuned because I will have an entry on the phenomenon that is Pedobear and the psychology surrounding it.
